Adam Roseman of ARC China explained in an interview recently discussing the various opportunities for western investors to invest in China he emphasized that together with “double digit” growth and a great potential for success, the Chinese marketplace is also in need of western style corporate management. As Adam Roseman puts it, “What they (the Chinese) are lacking, though, is institutionalization in a particular western management style, strong internal controls, solid corporate governance, and in a lot of instances even lacking a forward looking view on their businesses.”
